Introducing the official 2013 Lollapalooza poster designed by acclaimed contemporary artist Michael Sieben. Sieben cut his illustrator teeth in the world of skateboarding, developing a signature style populated by a cast of stylized characters that somehow feel like whimsical ambassadors from a slightly shady world. For his spin on Lolla, he explores one of his favorite themes, optimism in the face of adversity, with his band of stranded sailors celebrating the sinking of their own ship. They've chosen to make the best of a bad situation and welcome the misfortune with musical merriment, despite the fact they don't even have real instruments.
The Commemorative Edition is offset-printed with four-color process ink on uncoated, heavyweight, 100% post-consumer recycled paper. The complete band lineup is listed at the bottom below the main artwork, and the overall dimension are 18-in x 24-in. The posters are printed in a limited quantity, and once they are sold out will not be re-issued.
